NATIONAL TRAINING COURSE ON APPLICATIONS OF RADIOTRACER AND SEALED SOURCES FOR INDUSTRIAL PROCESS OPTIMIZATION
The Institute of Nuclear Science & Technology is hosting a National Training Course on the application of radiotracer and sealed sources for industrial process optimization from 29th September to 5th October 2019. The training is through the support of the IAEA TC project KEN1005: 'Strengthening Existing Resources for Training, Research and Application of Radiation Technologies in Industry and Environmental Studies' whose objective is to strengthen the existing resources for teaching, training and research on applications of radiation technologies at the Institute of Nuclear Science and Technology, University of Nairobi. The training is being facilitated by IAEA consultant Mr Thorsten Jentsch with participant drawn from various industrial sectors that can potentially apply radiation technologies to improve efficiencies in their processes.
Speaking while officially opening the training course, Prof Ngau, the Principal College of Architecture & Engineering urged participant to seize the moment and gain the necessary skills required to push the country to a middle-income economy.
